We are one with All That Is – a point that is often repeated in the teaching of The Seventh Major Understanding for many reasons. Primarily because remembering our Oneness in every moment of now connects us and changes the way we perceive what is happening in our personal, local and global reality.
As a part of the Source of All That Is, we have the effortless power to create our own reality. Our beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and expectations manifest in the world as people, groups, objects and events.
Without exception, our personal reality affects the local and global reality. The ability of each individual to form your own reality makes you a powerful influence in our shared reality.
The third part of The Seventh Major Understanding provides insight into the use of our power. Joshua devotes two chapters in the book to the subject of our power to manifest all that we experience because our power to create is a key to the true nature of our existence. In fact, our natural power of attraction is referred to throughout the book.
Here is a quote that clearly shares Joshua’s point of view:
You, in a very real sense, are holding all of us in the palm of your hand.
You are the liberator of all sentient life forms.
—Fred Alan Wolf, Ph.D.
Yes, this is how powerful you are. Going beyond this quote, you are the liberator of all that is – beyond the formed and the sentient. Our perception of reality gives us ample freedom to exercise our creative power and to experience the results our power yields.
One of three primary components of The Seventh Major Understanding is the diligent reminder that each individual is the creator of his or her own reality, and together we create the global reality. Our understanding of Oneness teaches us that we are creators just like the One Source from which all manifestation springs. This includes the visible and the invisible.
Awakening to Oneness is the pathway to changing our global reality while we individually create a peaceful and abundant personal life. The two realities, one’s personal life and perceived global events, cannot be separated.
With our understanding of Oneness it becomes completely obvious that when I change myself, I change the world. When I change myself, I change my relationships. What do I want to experience in the world? Is it peace? Then I make peace within. I become a peace maker. I dwell on peace with every breath.
Under every circumstance and in every moment of now, I chose to be the change I want to see. Do I want to see a loving world? I give love in every way and with every breath. These are two examples of how I change myself.
I have complete faith and know that as I change within, I find evidence of this change when I look out there. What do you want to change? Know that you have the power to be what you want to see. That is how powerful you are.
Joshua often reminds me to let the light grow, let love show, and let it be fun! Is this the change I want to see in the world? The key to this change is to let or allow – there’s no force or effort required to let it be. I need not apply judgment, or make an effort to change others when I simply take responsibility for my thoughts and feelings. I have the power to change me, and I change the world.
When I recognize that all that I see on the global stage is my creation, I discover complete assurance that what I do makes a difference here and now. Yes, you are holding all of us in the palm of your hand. I love you.
