Have you ever been surprised by feeling attracted to or repelled by someone you just met? Have you ever met someone and felt a powerful sense that you know this individual or that you have met before – even when you know that’s not possible? These experiences are common.
A woman asked me why some people like her immediately while others dislike her instantly, lacking any obvious reason. Most of these immediate reactions arise from the unseen and unheard vibrations of your being. Each of us has an energy signature of color, light, and sound that escapes detection by the five senses.
This energy signature is broadcast clearly and is always perceptible to the inner senses. Immediate attraction to or rejection of another person is mostly based on invisible and inaudible vibrations detected on a subconscious level. Of course, sight, smell, and audible sound also play a role in our judgment of others.
On the level of energy that is usually unseen and unheard, the color and sound that you generate will repulse some people. This is instinctive and there is no need to fight against it or to force oneself to overcome it. We don’t need to be all things to all people, and we may find peace of mind by accepting that some people will reject us. So be it.
This rejection is truly not about you or me or another person. The repulsion is energetic. When we judge the situation, we tend to invent reasons why we don’t like someone, or we imagine why he or she may not like us. Such exercises in judgment are unnecessary but common in human nature.
Joshua tells me that when we meet a member of our Spiritual Family, we recognize them by vibration. This immediate recognition serves a purpose. We cannot miss recognizing a member of our Spiritual Family. The connection via vibration is just as powerful with a member of our Spiritual Family over (imagined) distance.
Without exception, we are all family. There is only one Source of All That Is. All humans and incorporeal beings, animals, minerals, elements, and so on emerge from one consciousness – the Source of All That Is. Nonetheless, our human experience reveals that we feel strongly tied to some people, animals, foliage, etc., while we feel unattached to others.
Connection to Spiritual Family is one of the most challenging aspects of awakening because this topic invites us to grasp chosen roles of apparent separation. All separation is an illusion and exists solely for the state of play. This paradox is covered at length by Joshua with the hope that as awakened beings we are not confused by our obvious roles of separation while remaining inseparable.
With that knowledge well in hand, Joshua introduces the understanding that while there is only One being here interacting with Itself, we enter plays upon the stage in chosen families. If necessary, stretch your imagination to allow for many diverse theatrical programs going on simultaneously; then narrow your view to see that you chose a specific play and a specific role in that play in this space and time. During this play or act of a lifetime, we quickly recognize other people playing a role in our chosen program.
Each soul has connections and commitments to others. We naturally attract to ourselves souls that will assist us in our pursuits, and the souls we are here to serve. We reciprocate by providing assistance to others as they seek to experience and understand the nature of reality. To this end, we form Spiritual Families that often incarnate together so we may help one another complete incarnation cycles.
It is normal for people to select individuals with whom they want to develop relationships. There’s no need to feel guilty for not liking every person we meet. Nor is it wise to expect to be liked by everyone. Nevertheless, whether we like someone, or whether he or she likes us, does not diminish the need to treat one another with respect. Our mutual likability is irrelevant and cannot increase or decrease our value or worth. Each of us is loved without condition by All That Is.
As we awaken, our total acceptance of each other requires the release of our fears. I am not afraid to let you be different or to let your family or your nation be different from mine. Your Spiritual Family and mine have different ways, and we can easily live together in peace.
Unconditional love doesn’t require that we like each other. Unconditional love compels us to accept each other. In the vibration of acceptance, we release all effort to change others and our fear of diversity melts away. I let you be you.
