When people learn that we create our own reality, some people begin to believe that they have conscious control over everything. This is not the case. So, when they discover that they cannot use the Law of Attraction to suddenly make life perfect for themselves, they begin to doubt that they create their own reality, or they start to think they are doing something wrong and must correct it.
It is hard to see why we create problems, illness, or pain for ourselves. It is difficult to accept that we continue to create challenging events and relationships. Our ability to trust that our highest good is always present stretches our faith. Trusting that everything is unfolding perfectly – including our struggles, seems counterproductive and mind-boggling.
In our experience of a lifetime, our struggles provide the greatest opportunities for personal growth. Grief and sorrow can teach us compassion for others. Feeling pain, our own or that of another can teach us to be sympathetic and empathetic. Surely there are countless pathways into learning compassion, sympathy an empathy, yet we personally chose to walk the path of struggle from time to time. This is not good or bad. It is not something to be ashamed of – it just is.
If it never rained, we wouldn’t see rainbows. If we never cried, our joy would be less precious. A friend humorously posted that we don’t have joy without the OY. Yes, this is real life. Rough diamonds are formed at high temperature and under tremendous pressure, yet they lack true beauty until they are skillfully cut and polished with grit. Beloved teachers, healers, and leaders of change, may you be grateful for the heat and pressure you bear because it makes you beautiful and strong. May you be gracious when struggles cut you and grind your loving heart. Remember that you attracted every person and event and that all is unfolding perfectly. When I see you, I see awe-inspiring diamonds. When I hear you, I honor the astounding power of your voice. And, I know you have the strength to carry on. I love you.
